This course introduces the technical and organizational standards that ensure the safety, reliability, and quality of electrical installations. It familiarizes students with major international standardization bodies such as IEC and ISO, as well as the Algerian standards (NA). The course covers design and installation requirements for low- and medium-voltage systems, with emphasis on protecting both people and equipment. It also addresses standards for electrical components, cables, schematics, and grounding systems. Special focus is given to safety classifications such as IP and IK ratings and service continuity. The course further includes procedures for testing, conformity assessment, and industrial certification. Finally, practical applications are provided to help students correctly implement standards in real engineering projects.
