electronegativity

 Ability of an atom, or group of atoms, of a molecular entity to attract bonding electrons.

electrophile

an atom or molecule with a low electron content.

Electrophilic substitution

an electrophile (an electron-poor atom or molecule) replaces an atom or group in a molecule. Examples: nitration of benzene, halogenation.
